Hi, I am Ruy
I am a professional designer with a master’s degree in visual arts. I am also a musician who has spent over a decade exploring all fourths tuning.
Drawing on both disciplines, I developed a clear and structured system that helps guitarists understand — and reimagine — the fingerboard. The book is the result: written, illustrated and designed by one person, over several years, with revision and technical consultancy by George Alveskog.
I am not here as an authority on all fourths. I am a fellow traveller who happens to design for a living, and who got tired of the material for this tuning being scattered, partial and hard to look at.
